When both partners love each other equally, it’s going to show up in their text exchanges. They probably go back and forth initiating conversations. They’re also more or less contributing the same amount to the conversation (i.e. one person isn’t texting a novel, while the other just responds “cool!”).

You don’t have to tell them the time and location of the next date, but just something like simple such as “it would be great to hang out again” is fine. After all, you’ve only just finished your date so you don’t want to appear like you’re needy or desperate. And then there’s the “I’m so into this person who I barely know because he/she texts me 10x a day! We’re definitely almost in a relationship” delusion. But as I mentioned, I see a lot of relationship-seeking people throw caution to the wind when it comes to texting. Texting between dates helps us have faith that you’re able to focus on us even when you’re not with us, and not get distracted by other options when we aren’t around.

Then when they put in all the work they wonder why he’s not stepping up for them. One that doesn’t involve obsessing over when a man you barely know, will or won’t, text you. What’s your intention behind the text that you want to send? Are you trying to connect in the present moment? Or for another reason, like trying move the relationship forward?
